Method of computation | Periodicity of housing census is measured by the decennial census program of the U.S. Bureau of the Census. Rate of coverage of birth records and death records is measured by the Vital Health Statistics Program of the National Center for Health Statistics of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as measured by percentage coverage of prior year vital events. |
Comments and limitations | Birth registry in the US is greater than 99 percent. |
